BOXED IN: Work in progress
Maybe Theatre Company presents the effect of the several-month-long work of a group of students who met at movement workshops conducted by our theatre group. This performance in an unconventional way shows inter-personal relations, habits and attempts to tear oneself away from everyday reality.
Daria Budzyńska and Penny Shefton have been conducting theatre workshops since the end of 2006. In their presentations they place the main emphasis on stage movement, practically eliminating the need for stage design and theatrical props. The actors play the part of furniture, walls and engines!
The whole is complemented by the use of sounds and computer projections which, together with the bare design and atmosphere of mystery, give the performances an amazing atmosphere and the audience unforgettable impressions!
Admission free! Everybody welcome!
Wednesday 17 March at 8 p.m. in Teatr Miniatura in Wrzeszcz.
We would like to thank Teatr Miniatura most sincerely for allowing us to conduct our workshops there. Without their help and support none of this would have been possible.
This performance of BOXED IN: Work in progress is part of the University of Gdańsks 40th anniversary celebrations.
